@mdudas @mhdempsey Memecoins alter how the public, regulators, and entrepreneurs see crypto. At best, it looks like a risky casino. Or a series of false promises masking a casino. This deeply affects adoption, regulation/laws, and builder behavior. I see the damage every day. You should too.

It honestly shocks me how many people hardcore simp for opaque operators in this space after the thousands of examples we’ve seen of why not. To the point they will believe blindly the statements of that operator, over a government lawsuit with internal logs…
fyi guys the biggest threat to the future of this industry is not the bumbling idiots at every US bureaucracy its the fact that criminals scam, steal, and harm and people in this industry and this industry not only tolerates it, but ardently defends their right to do so 😬

Very disappointing to see CZ resort to blatant FUD without even basic diligence. Coinbase and Coinbase Custody are separate entities. Greyscale assets are in CB Custody and would not be reflected in Coinbase holdings.

https://t.co/0HxlRiI6Sy was an offshore exchange not regulated by the SEC. The problem is that the SEC failed to create regulatory clarity here in the US, so many American investors (and 95% of trading activity) went offshore. Punishing US companies for this makes no sense.
