Whatever you think of @bryan_johnson you can't deny he is brave. He just completed an experimental gene therapy on himself, editing his DNA, which is potentially dangerous and not FDA approved. And he will probably open-source the results. Hero.

Once processed though I received various results in the @MyViome app. The first set of results show overall gut microbiome health. I seemed to be just above 'average' overall (despite having a pretty healthy diet). One result was highlighted as needing 'critical' improvement!

The stool test itself was simple. Posting it back was easy despite the fact I ordered it to UK and was posting back to US. However surprisingly it took 3 weeks to process and receive results. Unsure if this is due to a backlog (?), or normal due to the required RNA sequencing.

2) First of all, what do these tests measure?. Most measure 'DNA methylation'. As our cells age our DNA molecules accumulate methyl groups. This occurs continuously and randomly over time, meaning that the older you are the more methylation will have accumulated in your epigenome.
