Also a very important factor that allows Magenta Horizon to reap the benefits of contact Damage this way. Is how insanely large a lot of enemies are in terms of sprite size.

I feel the need to correct this. A follower pointed out, MH does not have full traditional contact damage. However, enemies, all the time, on frame 1 of their attack will make their entire body a hitbox . So that + the insane aggression level = very similar to Contact Dmg.
Yall already know what 2D game makes heavy use of contact damage AND had enemies contest your air-time. Go spend your money on that, instead of a game with enemies you just walk through

You know what, why not have contact damage in a 2D game with combos?. If anything, it only STRENGTHENS the engaging part of juggling and stringing combos together, while leveraging 2D (precise view of hitboxes). Precise hitbox control.

I highly dislike there seems to be any convo about Pizza Towers perceived "relevance", or player numbers, at all. Intended or not, you are punishing indie developers for making games with a clear end. Stop equating value with how much raw hours you can sink into a game.

A certain person has made +10 posts about me in the last 12 hours, because it gets them the attention he so desires on here. This is the only acknowledgement they will receive.

I am sorry that the Resident Evil 4 video is taking this long, but this is going to be the best one I have made yet.

Putting i-framed rolls in a 2D game really pales in comparison to making a 2D action-platformer with no enemy collision/contact damage. .

Gamers confuse interpreting a work, with going on stage and moving objects around, or slapping an actors ass then going back to their seats. instead of exploring how it made them feel after.
I think the fact that games are inherently interactive, tricks players into thinking they are the expressive, creative party, between them and the developer.

What people don't realize about opt-in dynamics or challenge, is that even if you opt-in, they are inherently limited because they need to co-exist with opting-out. Enemies you can walk past, cannot be enemies that keep up with you, even if you choose to engage with them.

Oh yea and from what I have talked with MGS fans, it's the most "I wish these mechanics were in a real game" ass game in existence lol.

Jk, I actually got to precisely one outpost, cleared it, and never opened the game again. I doubt I will feel much differently now that my taste is even more aligned with handcrafted experiences over sandbox. Maybe one day
