Picking litter since 2009 from 275 miles of roadside verge each & every month in Powys/Monmouthshire/Blaenau Gwent/Torfaen. Advocates of a Deposit Return Scheme

Joined October 2014
From humble beginnings back in 2009 we now pick litter from over 275 miles of verges in the eastern end of the #breconbeacons. Choosing hope over despair, unity of purpose over expectation and great results!

More crap cleared from our hedges and verges. Taking advantage of a local road closure. Impressive historical finds too. #WombleArmy

The early bird catches the worm - or in this case, 4 bags full of litter from the undergrowth near the gasworks in #Tonbridge. We're clearly not the only ones visiting this patch (including a disgusting fly-tipper) but maybe we are the only ones leaving it tidier than we find it?

@TMBC_Kent - we've reported the fly tip on your online form, but can't ever upload photos. Here are some pictures that show what's there (and how far into the bushes it goes) #flytipping

This week's #LitterHero is Max who will be beach cleaning at West Bay twice weekly for 3 months in a Gorilla costume! This is to raise money for Max's upcoming trip to Nepal, with @RaleighIntl, to rebuild sanitation facilities following the 2015 earthquake. Best of luck Max! 🙌
