It's great to see this research demonstrating the impact of delayed discharge on outcomes to focus on timely discharge to the community. #slaintecare.
Our now @TCDGerontology study outlines the consequences of the social care crisis on older inpatients. For each additional day spent in hospital awaiting home care there was a 4% increase in hospital-associated complications such as delirium or falls.
