Very important that the ONE campaign is questioning the legality of the UK aid cuts. The legislation is there for a reason, and shouldn't be flouted for political reasons. Rule of law matters. And the 65 million people (at least) whose lives will be upturned by the cuts matter.
BREAKING: The ONE campaign is formally asking the UK government to justify the legality of its decision to cut international development aid. https://t.co/Z19WJIv1aw

Under the Tories, Britain spent 28% of our aid budget on asylum hotels â an egregious waste of taxpayers' money and a clear misuse of funds intended to tackle global poverty. I'm pleased this government is committed to speeding up asylum processing and reducing reliance on hotel

The UK must not be an #AllyToAtrocities @Keir_Starmer and @DavidLammy. Israelâs latest attacks on Gaza shows that impunity breeds further atrocities. The UK must end its complicity once and for all. Go to https://t.co/1eaVBO3pt0 to find out more.

The realities of cuts to programmes providing life saving support for children are devastating. How awful that the UK will add to this misery through #ukaid cuts. #cutsthatkill

Where is Ukraineâs missing money? Have you seen it? Because we havenâtâand neither have the children of Ukraine. @SkySportsNews and @SkyKaveh are asking the questionâso are we. @DavidLammy and the UK Government must release the Chelsea Fund now. RT to demand action.
Money raised from the sale of Chelsea which was supposed to benefit victims of the war in Ukraine has still not been released. The Foreign Office has confirmed that the proceeds from the ÂŁ2.5 billion sale almost three years ago remain frozen in a UK bank account.

Totally stunned. At a time when the UK needs to step up for the world's most vulnerable, it's stepping back. The failure to see how important aid is for global & national security is galling. We need defence and development. They're mutuallty reinforcing, not a zero sum game.
A statement from our CEO @MoazzamTMalik on the news that the government is cutting the UK aid budget to fund an increase in defence spending: âWe are stunned by this decision to cut the aid budget in order to increase military spending. It is a betrayal of the worldâs most
