It was a pleasure to talk with Andy and co. On the Blind Faith podcast. Took some unexpected turns and I think I ended up giving testimony! A joy to share about my faith, disability, and God’s faithfulness.
@LisaDawnPowell joins the #BlindFaith podcast for a fascinating discussion on theology and disability. She helps unpack what it means for Jesus to take on humanity. Check it out below

My kids unplugged the wireless router mid-interview. I don’t envy the job of the editing team but it was nonetheless an honor to have this conversation for the Blind Faith podcast with @andyopie
Had an amazing interview with @LisaDawnPowell on the blind faith podcast. Looking forward to it getting published. Some laughs some vulnerability some provocative thoughts. Stay tuned.

Can’t imagine how tough it was to wrangle contributions from 140+ scholars for this book. Excited to have my piece on Mary Daly included and to read the others. What a great resource!
Delightful after a good many trials and tribulations to see ths volume into production with the good people at @tandtclark to appear in 2025. With more than 140 chapters full of insight and erudition we hope it proves a good and useful resource for years to come. @AbdnDivinity

I confess I didn’t read the article she responds to here but I agree from my experience of the village we are raising our kids with. When we bought our current house we had decided it had to be in this neighborhood bc of proximity to our people: village, school, work, & church
As someone who very much does want a village and indeed has it (I currently have 4 neighborhood kids under 6 at my house joining us for dinner. Part of a baby swapping system I started in 2021), after having pretty painstakingly built it over years, I want to make two points...

uh oh it’s me tweeting about organized abandonment again! state-sanctioned group-differentiated vulnerability to premature death is a mouthful but also it’s so precise as a definition

So grateful for the opportunity to give the Wilmot Lecture @SJC_College. Amazing questions and discussion! Thank you @RyanTurnbull20 for the invite. (Tho tbh I probably would have cropped this pic so the shoes get their due.)

I may have missed my flight to Winnipeg (thanks ORD always being a mess) and will arrive after midnight after two more flights, but seeing my name in a list with Marilyn Adams is sure cheering me up.
@StarrCody23268 Some that come to mind: > Marilyn Adams - Christ and Horrors > Lisa Powell - The Disabled God Revisited > Timothy Pawl - In Defense of Conciliar Christology > Gerald O’Collins - Christology: Origins, Developments, and Debates > Oliver Crisp - Divinity & Humanity (1/2)

What does it say about our legal system when the U.S. Supreme Court refuses to stop an execution even when the county prosecuting agency that handled the original trial files a brief in support of a stay and supports vacating the entire conviction? #MarcellusWilliams
