Batman doesn’t use echolocation or even fly. He’s basically just got a hat. It would be very easy (or at least possible) for another superhero to make a stronger claim to the name ‘Batman’. Then Batman would be downgraded to Hatman and his adventures seem less ‘noir-ish.’.
