Ice storms can do serious damage to forests! At @HubbardBrookNH Experimental Forest, scientists created ice storms to study their effects, and the results show short and long-term damage to trees. Read the article written by @LindseyRustad ⬇️ @EBTSOYP @IfThenSheCan #icestorms

As we continue to face new challenges brought about by changing climates, it’s important that we fully understand what threatens our nation’s forests and grasslands. A recent report released today examines how mature and old growth forests are at risk.

I am so excited that our article: "Ice Storms: Not as Cool as They Seem" was just published in @FrontYoungMinds @ifthenshecan Women in Science Special Collection. This journal is intended for young scholars (ages 8-15). Share wildly with friends & family!

Eclipse in Rangeley, #Maine. The #totality was shocking, exciting, uplifting, pins and needles cool, otherworldly, and like nothing I have ever experienced before. #Nature never disappoints! You just have to show up!

I am saddened by this news. Diana touched so many of our lives, mine included. She has long been a role model for me, from afar and from the few times I had the honor to interact with her in person. She will be missed - but she has left a legacy!
