National Fire News: 8/20. Fire activity continues to build, with 49 large fires burning across the country. Nearly 15,400 wildland firefighters & support personnel are assigned to incidents nationwide, including 14 incident mgmt teams, 292 crews, 735 engines, and 93 helicopters.
