I have been playing with diluted ink recently. Tiny strokes and some inaccuracies caused by my pen swapping setup seem to create a surprisingly pleasant combo. #plottertwitter

Sometimes I get very tempted to just stop the plotter in the middle of a work because I like the WIP. But I try very hard not to do so because I am so curious about what happens next. #plottertwitter

The ink is so diluted that it’s barely visible through the camera. But after hours and hours of layering, it eventually builds up a gradient. #plottertwitter

I have been making some mini paintings recently. I think the parameters within this algorithm are going to get there soon. Can’t wait to plot a larger one. Which one do you like the most? #plottertwitter

This 5-color drawing took 53 hours to complete (the video only captured part of the process). It was so lengthy in comparison to my other A4 works so I checked the number of lines in this drawing. It’s about 166k tiny lines! #plottertwitter

Might not be the best video (or the cleanest table) but my new toy is finally (sort of) running. I want to work on some ultra time-consuming pieces with this system. Excited to see where it goes.

5 color drawing. Using super diluted ink to build layers after layers of tiny strokes. Yes, it takes longer than expected (24ish hrs for an A4), but the texture is very exciting. #plottertwitter

After tons of improvements, my pen changing system finally made an ok-ish drawing. 5-colors, I manually shook one of the pen once to resume the ink flow. But it’s pretty much ok on its own. Guess how long did this take? #plottertwitter

I came back to London feeling like everything is ... old and new at the same time. Not sure if that means I am where I am supposed to be or I am completely lost. But spending a day restarting my plotters did make me feel at home. #plottertwitter

I thought today was a happy day because my pen swapping design is finally stable enough to do its first 5-color drawing. But life is packed with surprises. I expect some delays for the release of the next course video. Thanks for understanding.

Making art every day — it doesn’t have to be good, it doesn’t have to be original, it doesn’t have to do anything besides say hello to a new or old idea, to say I meditated on this and think I found something, and I want to share it with the world to say hello as well.
