This is another example of the trompe l’oeil technique I’ve been working on, which uses a viewer’s head position to simulate perspective. It is real-time and does not involve any vfx or compositing in post.

Today is my last day at Microsoft. It was a wonderful place to work but I’ve wanted to be an independent artist for as long as I can remember. Thank you to everyone who has supported my work the last six months. I wouldn’t be realizing this goal without you and I am so grateful!

My dad’s been a printer for 35 years. My first after-school jobs were in his shop, cleaning printheads, dusting fans, draining dark room vats, etc. The smell of ammonia still reminds me of being there. I didn’t appreciate it then, but printing is an art (and a science).

on 1/10/22. Those who minted raised over $1.5M USD for cancer research/care efforts. Today the final third, ~$500k, was transferred to the local hospital in my hometown, to fund the creation of a much-needed pediatric oncology infusion room.🧵
