This afternoon we’re visiting a specialist library for blind and visually impaired citizens of Astana. #WLIC2025 We’ve been shown equipment for creating braille and other alternative formats, as well a brand new prestigious collection of items from Kazakh poet Abai Qunanbaiuly.

Friday is tours day at #WLIC2025 🙌 First stop is Maqsut Narikbayev University Library. It is housed in a building affectionately known by students as the “banana building” owing to its bright yellow exterior. The library itself was recently refurbished and looks stunning 🤩
