Exciting work from Chanyeon Kim and @Alex_James_King shows how to codesign a Cu/TiO2/p-Si photocathode for generating ethylene from CO2,💧, and ☀️ . 4x enhancement in ethylene generation is achieved with optimized thicknesses and ionomer bilayer. ☀️ ➡️ ⛽️.

Thrilled to share this new paper on photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction (PEC CO2R) to ethylene!. We enhanced ethylene generation by 4x (~2.5 mA/cm2 of ethylene) by codesigning a Cu/TiO2/p-Si photocathode and the mode of illumination.

Happy [/relieved] to share my final postdoc publication in @ACSEnergyLett where we show that optical microscopy is sensitive enough to directly image ion transport in solution without optical labels/plasmonic enhancement.
