Yep. A month after SB1070 passed in Arizona, SB2281, the ban on ethnic studies was passed, targeting the Tucson School District’s Mexican American studies program. There is a relationship between erasing people and erasing their stories.

This #JusticeForAhmaud came from people speaking out & showing up. Remember we went 74 days without an arrest; this was never inevitable. Gratitude to all. To the runners, the #BLM activists, the preachers, the local citizens, all who said that his life mattered.

We just witnessed a system built on white supremacy validate the terroristic acts of a white supremacist. This only further validates the need to abolish our current system. White supremacy cannot be reformed.

It’s sad when we have to tell people not to hurt each other. None of the folks who have an opinion can do a tenth of what they do. SHAME ON YOU! What’s wrong with us! This was Beautifully said. But it sad it has to said. Thank you Adam!

Had I not been watching #spanishlanguagetv I might have missed this as no major media outlet has covered a presidential murder. Haiti Has Been Abandoned—by the Media, the US, and the World
thenation.com
Human rights activist Antoinette Duclaire’s murder is the latest for a country in chaos—where an obsession with elections obscures a complete absence of democracy or accountability.

I’m just saying. Presidential assassinations are not common. What just happened in Haiti is grave. All of the Haitian workers near me here are worried abt home. I’m hearing their voices of concern rn.
