🧵(1/6) Nearly 24 million people on ACA health insurance plans are about to face much higher premiums in 2026. Are you one of them?

Maxwell Kruzic spent about 4 hours in the ER. He received the bill for $8,127.41 TWO YEARS later. In no other industry would this be acceptable. It's time we hold healthcare to the same, higher standard. #PatientsOverProfits

I find it disturbing when politicians and the media turn health care into a political game. Who won? Who lost? This is about people’s lives. Health care is literally life or death. No wonder people are losing faith in our system.

Republicans shamelessly shirked their duties by leaving town without extending the ACA credits — leaving millions of families with tighter budgets and higher health care costs. Sinful!  But we won’t give up! Democrats won’t stop fighting to Save Our Health Care.

Today would have been Ady’s 42nd birthday. Since his ALS diagnosis, Ady was always scheming about ways to turn his personal pain into public power. In that spirit, the Be A Hero team has something brewing for 2026 — something for patients, by patients, powerful enough to take on

Republicans know letting #ACA tax credits expire is bad healthcare policy — bad enough to cost them their jobs.

After the speaker denied them a vote on extending the subsidies, four Republicans from competitive districts joined Democrats’ bid to go around G.O.P. leaders and force action.

Suozzi: "In my district, if you make $130,000 and you're a family of 4, you now pay 8.5% of your income for health insurance -- $10,000 to $11,000 a year. That's gonna go up to $30,000 a year, which means your premium is going to increase $1,500 a month. That's crazy. People are

“Giving money to the people” is code for cutting a check to a health savings account. That’s not health insurance. It’s smoke in mirrors. $2K in your pocket won’t cover a fraction of a major medical need (procedure, hospitalization, ER visit). Don’t buy the nonsense.

Remind everyone: Republicans made tax breaks for billionaires permanent. Permanent! They exploded the national debt by trillions to do it. But saving health care for a few years? Republicans say that's too expensive.

Listen to this GOP Congressman. He’s right - health insurance greed is the problem. And the MAGA plan to “fix it” is bullshit. The answer is Medicare for All. No premiums, no co-pays, no deductibles—and no relying on health insurance companies for any of it.
Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, says the Republican health care bill coming to a House vote this week is “milquetoast garbage.”

Things healthcare corporations are good at: ✔️ Denying people life-saving treatments ✔️ Raking in record profits Things healthcare corporations are not good at: ❌ Providing actual health care.

Under the Senate Republican ACA plan, premium payments would still more than double next year. Healthy people could be better off in a high deductible plan with a health savings account. People who are sick would face big premium increases or a deductible they can't afford.

GOP-sponsored Medicaid work requirements will cut more than $325 billion — doing nothing to serve working people and everything for greedy billionaires eagerly waiting for their next tax break.

D-...did he just compare health care coverage to shampoo...? "Giving the patient the power" looks like universal health care, empowering patients to get the care they need without having to penny pinch. Sending a measly check won't even make a dent in mounding medical bills.

A credit report with medical debt is a life sentence nobody chooses. Shame on the Trump administration for exposing our most vulnerable to even more exploitation.

Health care affordability isn't a debate, it's a lifeline. We demand a country that doesn't leave us choosing between health care and groceries or rent. We demand dignity and #healthcareforall!
