Jalen Hurts re COVID: "If I ever catch it, I'll know that I caught it trying to do the right thing, with the right intentions, and taking the right precautions."
So many people seem unable to grasp this.
Malcolm Jenkins: “The longer Jerry Jones wants to say stupid stuff...about how he wants to bully his players, great, you'll bring cameras to me & I’ll talk about how police brutality needs to end, how we need to end mass incarceration, & how we need to have better school systems”
I'm really gonna get killed for pointing out that Jalen Hurts' 25.4 passer rating tonight is lower than any Carson Wentz has compiled in 68 career starts.
The Eagles are going to take a big hit in the locker room and with the fan base for not being able to find a way to promote or even retain Duce Staley.
On the Mike Scott thing: Sure, pro athletes should avoid confrontation. But if you think it’s OK to attack someone for wearing the opponent’s jersey to a game, you’ve been steeped in too much talk radio bullshit. That doesn’t make you a “proud, tough fan.” It makes you an asshole
I did not vote for Bill Clinton and I did not agree with most of his policies. But when he extended an invitation to our TEAM to visit the White House to celebrate our first Super Bowl Championship I was honored to attend and meet the President of the United States.

Just heard a Chris Jones clip on NFL Network in which he said Chiefs forced Hurts to throw from the pocket, "and we were successful." Well, he was 27 for 38 for 304, a touchdown, and a 103.4 passer rating, while running 15 times for 70 and 3 TDs but sure, your team won, whatever.
People keep telling me there is no way Sirianni gets fired.
I’m not around this team, but I know a little about Jeffrey Lurie.
I’ve never seen an Eagles team play this way down the stretch WITHOUT the coach getting fired.
I've talked to an NFL source, not w/the Eagles, who hears a Wentz trade is close. That isn't first-hand information. I do feel that the longer we go without Wentz saying something like "I'm happy to be an Eagle and excited about playing for Nick Sirianni," the closer we get...
Some news.
As Jackson Browne once said, this is my opening farewell.

Kill me for this if you want, sorry if I don't go along with your narrative, but since that INT, Carson Wentz has done a good job with what he has out there. If that isn't what you're seeing, you are watching a different game than I am.
As a retired reporter, can’t get over Jonathan Gannon not talking after the game. He might never have to explain what happened in the 2nd half, unless a Cards writer asks during his introductory news conference.
Hiring Gannon after this is like hiring Matt Patricia after SB LII.
Andy Reid to Mahomes: “When it’s grim, be the grim reaper.”
Many miles away, scribes who covered Andy’s 14 seasons with the Eagles: “Oh sure NOW he’s got quotes.”
Back in 2002 I was leaving

and Duce took me under his wing and taught me everything about being a professional!! Without his tutelage I wouldn’t have been nearly as successful as I was. Every team needs a leader like this
I see there is already a lot of discussion of how much more in-demand NLDS tix are in Philly than in Braves country.
What you have to remember is that a lot of Braves fans have legal bills arising from their activities on Jan. 6, 2021.
Let’s show some compassion, folks.
Nakobe Dean said no teams said anything about pec tendon surgery, & he was surprised to see the issue weigh so heavily in the draft. He traveled to Las Vegas thinking he’d go in the first. Watching his mom’s face as he dropped bothered him. Also “cost me a lot of money,” he said.
Here’s the reality: 49ers are really good. And Eagles just beat the Cowboys, Chiefs and Bills, back-to-back-to-back. After the first quarter, 49ers did a great job of exploiting mismatches. Even if the Eagles could have survived Morrow and Elliss getting trucked, team had no legs
My take: There were several Eagles who were looking forward to the White House visit. It's a shame the President's need to be vindictive toward the players who didn't want to go outweighed all other considerations.
Spoke with NFL management source (not from Eagles) about the Wentz melodrama. His viewpoint: If Wentz doesn’t want the Bears, Bears aren’t gonna trade for him. Eventually the Eagles take whatever Indy is offering, maybe a second plus something. Also, Eagles draft a QB 6th overall

and me. Unless he produces two negative tests between Saturday, he’s out vs. Raiders.
It was a Super Bowl billed as the GOAT going up against the Baby GOAT, but Tom Brady reminded Patrick Mahomes exactly why people consider him the greatest of all time.
So, let’s say Washington gets a lot of players back by Tuesday, but by then the Eagles have a bunch of positive tests. Is playing then still gonna be more fair, or what? 🤷🏼♂️
He won’t want the credit, but fans oughta know that HOF candidates have their cases presented by a media member from the city they played in.
@pdomo
made the Brian Dawkins case, and another voter told me tonight that Domo did a mic-drop level job.
Not only is Smoltz fixated on the minutiae of pitching, the two of them bring no sense of the moment, no excitement to the broadcast.
It’s like listening to a dentist talk about fillings.
Jalen Hurts' stoicism has raised questions over his ability to lead the Eagles. Is he a reluctant leader or just quiet and misunderstood?

So I’m watching an Eagles game from the stands with my sons — the one who lives here in Denver, and the one who lives in Baltimore— for the first time ever. I think I’ve covered more than 300 Eagles games … never sat in the stands. So, yeah.
Brian Griese keeps talking about the Eagles’ DBs not communicating. Brian, most of these guys have never played in the NFL and they certainly haven’t played together. If they did communicate it would be kind of a miracle.
Again, to me, two possibilities here for Howie Roseman:
1. Carson Wentz isn't going to be what you said he & you bleeped up your signature GM move 4 years ago.
2. You just wasted a second-round pick in an extremely rich draft on a guy who might run a couple gadget plays each week

Arcega-Whiteside is just astonishing. In a bad way. Dude catches passes every day of his life. It’s how he makes his living. Has a touchdown float right up to him and he doesn’t BOBBLE it … he just completely whiffs like he’s never done this in his life & gee that ball goes fast
With the amount of money and high picks the Eagles have invested in their d-line, for it to be this helpless against the run and the pass is astounding and unacceptable
I dunno. Maybe I’m the only one who thinks THE WAY Dallas Goedert sustained a serious injury is a huge deal?
If I were the Eagles, I’d get somebody in New York on the phone and really get in my two-bitcoins’ worth. At the very least.
We finally had to say goodbye to Belle late last night at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital, more than a year and a half after she was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma. We’ve treasured all our dogs over the years but she was the sweetest, and the toughest.
Source with knowledge of situation says altercation between Eagles’ Jalen Mills and Wizards’ Devin Robinson arose over Robinson feeling that Mills shouldn’t be in DC, since he doesn’t play for a Washington team.
Reckon that that thar town ain’t big enough fer the both of them ...
Two late-game drops — Nelly last week, JJ this week — if they catch the ball, Wentz is a miracle worker, magician, the reason the Eagles are unbeaten, blah blah. But they drop the ball and it’s his fault somehow
