Another from @verabling Rolling out unproven tech to folks who are vulnerable.
I wish #BT would realise that digital voice phones are not suitable for elderly vulnerable people. MIL was given one when she switched networks, now has no access to outside world during power cuts, including her call button. This is dangerous!.

@lichfield_lips @LichfieldLive @Conservatives @Ofcom @UKLabour @LibDems It isn’t really that we are asking for much. Just the simple provision of a service. Broadband works but the vital phone element doesn’t. It would be nice for my Aunt to be able to speak to her family and not have a sense of impending isolation.

@lichfield_lips @LichfieldLive I wonder if @Conservatives @Ofcom @UKLabour @LibDems have any suggestions either local or country-wide about this issue? Is there any real oversight of the BT /Openreach service monopoly and poor service?.

It’s a bit shit really as there is a limit to the Amount of times that me, my wife, my cousin, my uncle can try to get resolution. Maybe there is simply a total infrastructure failure in Lichfield? @lichfield_lips @LichfieldLive maybe have heard of similar problems.

Many promises of issue being looked into by @bt_uk but timescales whoosh past like deadlines to @douglasadams books. Meanwhile my Aunt @ageukcampaigns is left miserable and isolated.

Getting quite fed up with @bt_uk and an utter failure to connect #digitalvoice phone line for my 90 year old aunt. Seems a common issue and just endlessly batted from customer service to engineers. Apartment is in @Bromford assisted living complex #thread.
