Today I debated Bill 213 🚨Ford is giving homophobic, transphobic, lslamophobic hate-monger Charles McVety a gift: allowing his Canada Christian College to grant degrees. Legitimizing hate. Period. The Cons tried to shut me down. But we won’t let this slip quietly by. No way.

Difficult to trust a govt that fires the child advocate as one of their first moves towards modernization...
Signals that everyone is hearing that long awaited announcements of changes to child protection will be made in coming days. “Modernization” has long been a euphemism for “cheaper”. It has never meant “child centred” Fundamental change can not come from behind closed doors.

Working in partnership with Councillor @tm_kavanagh, we are bringing a motion to Council tomorrow asking for a comprehensive childcare plan for our province. We cannot have an economic recovery without adequate childcare services.

The assumption that as their mother, I'll be the person taking on more at home is frustrating and insulting to me & my family. My partner is a wonderful parent, better at this "at home" stuff than me & just as likely (or more) to need the work flexibility.
