Just don’t know how we can’t be sad when we look at the landscape of college sports. Quitting on a team when you’re on the pinnacle of why you compete. Abandoning the players you’ve asked to put it on the line. We see it with coaches and players. We’ve lost our way.
Meanwhile, back here in Oxford, there is a scramble. A postponement of the team meeting, to 1 pm, is related to the university’s attempt to retain staff for the CFP run. There is now doubt that Lane Kiffin will be in attendance as his scheduled travel to Louisiana overlaps.
