Belmont’s campus did not receive any damage from the storm, and the University has retained power. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone today who was impacted. We are continuing to assess the needs of the University community in light of the storm’s impact.
It’s with great sadness that the Belmont community mourns the tragic loss of social work major DeEbony Groves, a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, who was killed yesterday in the Antioch Waffle House shooting.
We are heartbroken at the shooting that took place at the Covenant School in Green Hills this morning.
Our prayers are with our city and every member of our Belmont Community who is connected to the school and its home church, Covenant Presbyterian.
WOW! This morning President Fisher announced plans for an incredible new performing arts center, a 1,700-seat facility designed to be the "finest music performance hall on any college campus in the world!"
