I run an RCT on occupational safety & health (OSH) committees, the key worker voice institution for workplace health & safety. They have small, positive effects on OSH, with no evidence they are costly in terms of wages, employment, or labor productivity

The past 2 weeks in Bangladesh have been horrifying: a brutal crackdown on protesters seeking govt reform w/ hundreds killed, deployment of the army & shoot-on-sight orders, near complete communication shut down, and nationwide curfew. Bangladeshis deserve so much better.
