Neutron star equations of state used to be measured on a scale from hard to soft. From today, they will be measured on the cat-chonkiness scale.

I learnt yesterday that hypermassive and supramassive neutron stars are different things. Is supermassive even part of this scale? I propose we use the cat chonkiness scale for newly born massive neutron stars. Thanks for the lesson @LaskyPaul

I'm betting on neutron stars being a little bit soft and squishy, but also a little bit hard. I wrote a piece in @NatureNV that does not explain my line of reasoning at all! But it does talk about a really interesting new result published in @Nature by @chirenti et al.
