This atlas is a foundation. We can now make informed decisions on which glycans to target on which T cells to maximize the beneficial effects of glycan-targeted therapies. The future is sweet. #glycotime.

This study has taken us years and involved invaluable collaborations with partner labs: @brooks_lab @MatthewMacaule4 @MallevaeyT @HaissiCui and Jason Matthews (U of T & U of Oslo). The work was co-led by outstanding Ph.D. students in my lab: Fauzia Izzati & Hani Choksi.

Here, we broadly catalogue terminal glycosylation patterns on the major T cell populations that exist in vivo in both mice and humans across tissues, age antigen experience, and disease.

Glycans regulate T cell function. This statement is simple but it keeps me up at night — which glycans? On which cells? When? Do mechanisms translate across mice and humans?. To address this, we have curated 'A Unified Atlas of T cell Glycophysiology'
