We welcome @waitrose commitment to significantly improve animal welfare through the Better Chicken Commitment 👏 .We also appreciate its call for mandatory animal welfare labelling, which we are also campaigning for and would allow consumers to support higher welfare products 🙏.
This move from @waitrose includes only using healthier slower-growing breeds. 👏. By the end of August, this will be extended to all of their own-brand frozen & ingredient chicken too – including ready meals & sandwiches. Read more ➡️
