The broader crypto space is in limbo, but generative art is holding down the fort. That’s because there are real artists and collectors who see the value in this space to what it did for me: inspire to dream and create.

Hours 124-126 showcased how Window + Tile turned a full canvas composition into a recomposable building block.

Day 5: Hour#91 by Donisaur.Eth. The window effect became one of my favorites. They simplified the canvas when it got noisy, and created a new element which could be recomposed.

Honorable mention is Hour#31, with Peckye.eth using one of the first "Tile" effects with fantastic results.

Day 3: looking back at Hour #40 is bringing me good memories. First livestream, featuring @FoundingFudder and the @CathartesNFT team. 0x3689c.eth outbid the them with a slightly different orange square.. was it a diss or a sign of respect? 😂🫡 https://t.co/autip1z8X0

The "Quad" effect was programmed to be rare, but showed up twice in a row, allowing this cool cross-shaped geometry to be created.

Recapping TheHours, day 2/11. My favorite piece of this day was Hour #16, another contribution from KimJames.eth. I saw a piece by Verena Loewensberg at TEFAF in 2023 that reminded me of it.

Recapping TheHours one year later -- Day 1/11. A rising sun drawn by KimJames.eth started the collection off on a bright note.

The community could control how long the experiment lasted, by bidding to add a "Finishing Touch" that would end the auctions. TheHours ultimately lasted for 260 hours!

TheHours was an experiment in auctions and co-creation. Every hour, an auction was held to determine what art would be added to the canvas. Participants chose from adding geometric forms and applying transformations.

Tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary of the collection I'm most proud of: TheHours. Over the next week and a half, I'll be tracing the history of TheHours, one day at a time.

anybody see any ERC404 collections doing a novel art mechanic with the ERC20 token part?
