Feel good story alert !! πŸ’š. Our water bird department is also very busy. This adventurous goose landed in the road and was wandering around. Our volunteer ushered her into a garden for safety, contained and then released in a nearby park.

This cheeky little one was found by one of our amazing volunteers as he was going down the escalator at Paddington station. Sadly is too young and the parents couldn't be found so he will be going to one of our rehabbers as at this age baby gulls cannot fly #babybirds

Asked someone to wait 10 minutes and we will collect a bird from them. They said β€œI have a life” and proceeded to dump the bird. Sadly this bird no longer lives. I wouldn’t normally post these instances as it happens a lot but this one broke me & the team tonight πŸ’”.

Here is β€œBrompton” safe and sound - rescued by @LondonFire at West Brompton station last night. @TfL turned the power off at 1:35am for scheduled engineer works it is in this time we were able to have the bird rescued. Thank you πŸ™πŸ» πŸ’š

horrendous rescue at a disused church. roof had collapsed,bringing down the ceilings.there were huge number of dead pigeons in the building many nests/babies buried under rubble. 5 hours of delicate moving of slate and plasterboard =16 eggs, 10 tiny yellow babies 16 older babies

White Vision : .She was released from a flying boat that was forced to ditch in the north sea, radio contact was lost and the eleven air crew were stranded. She flew 60 mile plus against strong head winds to return to her loft and deliver the life saving message #RemembanceDay

Local finders like Ruth regularly check their local pigeon flocks to remove string/hair/debris from pigeon feet which can cause pigeon feet to become damaged/lose feet the way you saw in our previous post. We are grateful to kind people like Ruth &Sim who look out for wildlife

This poor baby was a miracle rescue - the finder took to a vet & unfortunately vets are not always equipped to deal with long term rehabilitation. We were lucky that our volunteer Paula was able to get this baby back from the vets & send to Rehabbers πŸ’šπŸ™πŸ»πŸ€πŸ¦

Last night out volunteers rushed to @asda to stop them shooting this pigeon who had got in. Our volunteers managed to capture him and safely take him out if the store. Shooting is not the answer. #BirdTwitter
