At this moment, it feels especially poignant to share that all of the "lessons learned" in this paper came from our collective experiences leading @NIMHgov funded studies on suicide. The paper itself was inspired by our NIMH colleagues, champions of #SuicidePrevention in the US.
New paper out from @CRISPatBrown faculty led by @sarahariasPhD provides a useful primer on how to effectively access and use clinical and vital records to improve outcome measurement in suicide research.

In 07/2020, in the depths of the pandemic, we received funding for an RCT of our CLASP intervention for suicide prevention among Veterans recruited from 7 VHA inpatient units. No matter what else happens today 😬 I will forever celebrate enrolling our 850th and final participant!

One very concrete step we could take is to adopt population-level approaches & policies, such as later high school & middle school start times, that promote mental health & wellbeing by protecting kids’ sleep. We can & should do better. @HealthyHours @SleepforScience @SKSDSuper.
