Sidestepping law because the daa failed to follow the lawful planning process & instead breached its condition of planning, introduces an unfair two tier system of justice. One for the Public & businesses & another for the State & Semi State bodies. ‘Law for Thee but not for Me.’

You've hit the nail on the head. It's absurd that essential car travel is taxed heavily while frequent flying gets a free pass. This isn't just unfair, it's terrible climate policy. We must tax aviation fuel. #MakePollutersPay #FlightFreeFuture
When will we extend fuel duty to the luxury of flying - and add VAT? We have both taxes applied to motorists - people going to work and about their daily lives, get taxed to the max. People flying round the word - nothing. It can’t be justified.

That’s quite an own goal by Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien delaying the Finglas Luas by two years, and stalling on DART+ South West till 2030, on World Sustainable Transport Day, no less. Who needs Judicial Reviews when Fianna Fáil’s running the show?

"Current projections suggest the number of passengers in 2025 will reach 36.5 million, a figure which is 4.5 million more than is permissible under the cap." Still no signs of an impact assessment for the implemented runway flight paths ! @aircraftnoiseca
daa have withdrawn their standalone planning application for 36 million increase to CAP. Most likely due to issues around unauthorised development by knowingly breaching the CAP. Such a waste of everyone’s time and resources residents, Fingal CC, ANCA. https://t.co/FsGKy1iZUm

Great article with links to the health effects of aircraft noise including children’s learning impairment Also link to study showing 0.5-0.6% reduction in property values for every 1dB increase in aircraft noise @DarraghOBrienTD

Ultrafine Particle are so small that they will pass the lung blood barrier & can get into the placenta & affect the brains of unborn babies reducing IQ & increasing the risk of ADHD & autism which is why most cities have moved their main airports away from major cities.

It's becoming increasingly unclear whether or not Kenny Jacobs will hold the post of daa chief executive next year, overseeing the roll-out of those improvements, writes Fergal O'Brien.
