The best thing for baseball would be if every division was as competitive as the Al East - 4 teams running a high payroll and very comparable rosters. winning the the East is going to be more fun the playoffs since predicting who wins it is pretty much impossible

If I'm the jays I'm telling Boras and Varsho to sit down and hammer out an extension. Will it have to be a big over pay? yes but I think giving varsho 25m a yr over 5-6yrs is it worth to not potentially lose him in a weaker fa class.

Andres Giménez career high 141 OPS+ in 2022 (557 PA) is shared with the career best mark for Rafael Devers, who also had a 141 OPS+ in 2022 (614 PA). Hard to believe. If Gim��nez could somehow return to being an elite hitter in 2025, he’s an immediate MVP candidate.
