Not nightmarish but very much related, my grandmother had a deep Louisiana accent coupled with a high pitch Miche’le voice. It never registered to me that her and her sisters had accents I thought it was bc they was old (all they kids was born in California.) Imagine my shock
I liked shrek as a kid but I wish they told us that his accent wasn't an ogre thing. imagine my surprise when I learned Scottish people are real. the stuff of nightmares
