event was a success. In 3 hours we helped 45 participants who voluntarily turned in about 80 firearms for destruction. The total in gift cards handed out to Kirkland residents came to $11,375. Thanks! To those who responsibly disposed of unwanted guns.
These are off the streets! After a persistent investigation by Kirkland Police Pro-Act Unit, and with help from the Investigations Unit, they arrested a local fentanyl dealer today. They recovered several weapons, ammunition, cash, and drugs.

Our Pro-Act Officers have been hard at work. Yesterday they arrested multiple subjects and recovered 13 catalytic converters tied to thefts and burglaries in Kirkland.
We are working with demonstrators from opposing views. Both parties are working peaceful with the police at this time. Streets are closed in this area. We ask that you avoid the area.
Another package thief goes on the naughty list and straight to jail when observant neighbor see’s him taking packages from his neighborhood and calls the suspect in. KPD caught up with the suspect in Totem Lake area. 📦 returned to rightful owner
The eighteen-year-old suspect has been arrested, and booked into jail for this case. Thanks to the numerous witnesses and tipsters who came forward. There are no additional outstanding suspects in this case. A formal press release will follow.
Unusual activity was quickly reported by our community members last night. 2 suspects were arrested while moving stolen property from a storage unit. In a separate call, another suspect was arrested for vehicle prowling. Thank U Kirkland for reporting suspicious activities.👮🚓
Kirkland Officers apprehended a bank robbery suspect today still clutching the stolen cash in hand! A bank in Totemlake was hit at 11:35AM and a short time later the suspect was seen by KPD going into the Marina Park bathroom where they were taken into custody w/o incident. 🚔

On October 16th KPD Officers responded to a theft report and uncovered a major organized retail theft operation when they located the suspects and their vehicle. After being granted a search warrant, we seized over $50,000 worth of stolen clothing from businesses around the area
While conducting overnight patrol near a Totem Lake vehicle dealership, officers were able to contact two suspects as they left a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was impounded for a lawful search, and the suspects were arrested for various law violations.

In the past hour, BPD assisted Kirkland PD in searching for a suspect in a stolen car. He dropped a weapon as he fled the vehicle -16200 Blk NE 13th Pl. Several schools notified & put in lockout. Officers are still searching but the suspect has cleared the area.
We are currently investigating a shooting that occurred this evening at Houghton Beach Park. This is still an active investigation. Please avoid the area while the investigation is continuing.

It was a happy ending for Socks, Fancy, and Jon Poul, three French Bulldogs who were stolen last Friday, along with their owner’s van, from a gas station parking lot in Kirkland. KPD reunited them with their family yesterday evening, Thursday April 11.

Last night a man fired several shots from a handgun inside Juanita Bay Park after hours. Police responded and were able to arrest the suspect, and recover the stolen handgun. There were no reported injuries from the illegal shooting in the park. Thanks to the many 911 callers.
