I love a tasting menu or a hipster small plates/natty wines joint as much as the next person, but there are instances when you realise what you really want is a 'non-participatory restaurant', where you can sit back and enjoy the ride. Consider it 'low intervention dining'.

Had a stormer of a meal at @QuoVadisSoho this weekend. Go for the smoked eel sandwich, stay for the fabulous atmosphere. It also has the best service I’ve seen for years... #londonrestaurants
