Please don’t think you need to work help desk or at a call center before landing a role in offensive security.
This applies to "red teaming" as well. Newb: "Got my degree and certificate, hire me for six figures and point me at your best clients". Not hired, sorry not sorry. Go earn your stripes. Try helpdesk, network support, even call center. Learn what makes users use, how

1:1s are nitpicking sessions?. Lol what, that's nothing close to my experience. Sounds like a manager problem.
2/ I'm now convinced these regular 1:1s do more harm than good. The simple reason: they condition people to do spot checks on happiness and constantly be critical about things that aren't ideal. In practice, 1:1s descend into nitpicking sessions.

Missing all the friends at @offensive_con this month, but I'm in the middle of relocating and had to miss this year's. Berlin was amazing last I went, 🤞 for next year!.

Here: Been busy with moving so no polish on this, just something interesting!.
I wrote a windows kernel driver in Rust that demos interesting / alternative (somewhat platform-agnostic) techniques to achieving things certain OS APIs are used for. E.g. 100% race-condition mitigation when modifying any memory location without using locks by manually hijacking.
