@xurbanxcowboyx 1) I’ve personally gotten $38 million of Austin City Council criminal grifting pulled from the agenda just by exposing what they were up to There’s many examples, here are some screengrabs. Just their distribution of federal Covid money to their friends should have resulted in

It's super simple. We've almost doubled spending per capita. The city is less safe. Less clean. and sadly, less "Austin" Vote NO on prop q to get us back on the path to a world class city

This is an incredible read. The Prop Q people are basically lying to the community and Slusher calmly and logically lays it out. Vote NO on Prop Q. #txlege

@KirkPWatson Slick Kirk relabeled the chart. I've seen the report. Not at page 11--nor anywhere else in the report--does it say: "The number of people who became homeless decreased for the first time in five years." It says: The rate of people becoming homeless for the first time decreased

Mostly homeless groups who stand to make even more money if Prop Q passes. An absolute grift. Make a plan to vote NO ON PROP Q. #txlege
"Follow the Money...The campaign finance report for Love Austin PAC, the group pushing Proposition Q, just dropped, and it’s very telling...look at who actually funded the “Love Austin PAC,” it becomes clear who stands to gain the most from this permanent tax increase."

Austin wants to raise property taxes by 20%. This means higher rents and higher housing costs for everyone. Vote No on Prop Q. Keep Austin affordable.

🚨 Please listen to the City of Austin Comms Director laugh off people who questioned why the City spent $1,2000,000+ for the new logo. Insulting and dismissive. #txlege
It's a comment we saw a lot after the city of Austin dropped its new logo: Why didn't they just use AI? Austin's Communications Director Jessica King addresses that, and other logo FAQs, on today's episode of Inside Austin's Agenda:

If you love Austin, why would you support the Prop Q tax increase and make Austin even more unaffordable? That Forever tax increase will hit small businesses and financially struggling families even harder. It will drive more people out of Austin.

Austin has a $6200 *per resident* city budget. Here's the comp with a couple of left-leaning state capital cities with large state universities: Columbus OH: $3200 Madison WI: $2900 https://t.co/R739L7OMfW
@iowahawkblog Austin has a State Capitol and Legislators, as well as a Governor's Mansion. Direct expenses are handle by the state, but there's probably a lot of local impact.

Austin and Jacksonville have nearly identical populations: Austin 993k, Jacksonville 1.01 million. Why tf does Austin need nearly 4x the city budget?
6 grand per citizen to keep Austin running. The city is counting on low turnout to pass prop q. We have to get people the polls to vote. Here is a decent thread to break down just how insane the Austin budget and tax increases really is.

Get ready to vote No on Prop Q in Austin during the coming tax rate election. The City refuses to live within its means, just gave themselves a 4% raise and has an over 6 billion dollar budget. They want a permanent 20% property tax increase above and beyond that but won’t

The utter disconnect between Kirk Watson’s admission that Austin is unaffordable in part because of his City fee and tax increases and Kirk Watson’s ongoing support for tax increases is just mind-blowing! It’s like a bank robber condemning robbing banks while he’s robbing a bank.
