Statewide referenda rejecting vouchers in two ruby red states in this past election show that, after two centuries, public education is still a bipartisan project. But Republican politicians sadly don’t care what their own voters want on this issue.

Public support for private school vouchers doesn’t seem to be very high. But GOP governors keep doubling down on the idea.

Just because Donald Trump acts goofy doesn’t mean his presidency wouldn’t be dangerous. And you don’t have to take my word for it. Lately, some of the people who know Trump the best have been saying in no uncertain terms that he should not be president again.

This is the text of the Post columnists' statement, for those hitting the paywall: The Washington Post’s decision not to make an endorsement in the presidential campaign is a terrible mistake. It represents an abandonment of the fundamental editorial convictions of the newspaper

Let’s be clear: This is illegal and unconstitutional. The American people had voted. The courts had ruled. The Electoral College had met and voted. The Governor in every state had certified the results and sent a legal slate of electors to the Congress to be counted. The Vice

This is why DCPS schools, which will enroll any in-boundary student K and up any time of the year, need to be treated (and resourced) differently than charters. And DCPS schools receiving many students from Eagle may need additional staff to absorb the increase. @ChmnMendelson
