Spent a few hours yesterday trying to set up OpenAI ChatKIT + Agent Builder + MCP. Tech isn’t quite there yet, but close! ChatKit needs the ability to use state variables in MCP auth strings to allow for per-user MCP calls, otherwise MCP can’t be exposed to users cc @kevinweil

Immersing myself in TDD and the like early in my career makes working with agents easy. I know what a good test can/can’t do, and I know how that fits into the process of making great software. Asking an agent to make a tough test pass with constraints makes good code enough
It's kind of ironic that the best way to work with AI agents is to follow... well-established SWE best practices that no warmprogrammer has the patience for. TDD, detailed git commits, ADRs, etc. Surely no generalizable principle to be taken from this

Still thinking about: Bingo Loco host in SF closing out the show by saying, “thank you for having me in the Pacific Northwest!” Proceeds to play Smells Like Teen Spirit as an outro. Culture Victory?

Quite an epic AI typo in The Journal today. The Paramount exec is named Cindy Holland and they wrote “Cindy the Netherlands”

When people see this, they think Clash of Clans and hardcore gamers. That’s definitely true. Sneaky share of this though is puzzle/logic games like Wordle, Sudoko, crosswords, Solitaire Some research I’ve reviewed calls casual games like those up to 50% of mobile gaming.
This is simply a trend that I cannot relate to at all. I don't play any games on my phone and I don't think I know many people who play mobile games either.

ChatGPT already helps millions of people find what to buy. Now it can help them buy it too. We’re introducing Instant Checkout in ChatGPT with @Etsy and @Shopify, and open-sourcing the Agentic Commerce Protocol that powers it, built with @Stripe, so more merchants and developers

Cursor seems pretty busted for everyone on the team. Folks have switched back to VS Code for now. Others experiencing the same?

Well put
Bugs don’t age well. If you’re going to fix them eventually, it’s always better to fix them now. That’s the simple idea behind our zero-bugs policy. → https://t.co/6zdeiJL86L

We might be about to find out that the most efficient process is no process at all. Curious to see the effects of this decision.

Currently reading The Prize and seeing parallels between early oil industry and Nvidia. Early oil industry was kerosene-based for lighting. Eventually transitioned to gasoline with the advent of the car. Similar to games/crypto GPUs transitioning into AI.
