@fandaflames Your mistake was apologising. A simple "ok" and a nod and a personal resolution not to engage with her again would have been better. Humouring the mental health issues of others doesn't make them go away.

This is my second Christmas in Ireland in 30 years. Last year, the television was shockingly bad, but there was some excuse (Covid). There's no such excuse this year as there was plenty of time to record something decent. It's truly shocking what shite is being broadcast today.

For the umpteenth time, a healthy mother taking the life of a healthy baby is not healthcare and that's almost 99% of abortions in Britain. #8thref #PKShow

Sorry, but "pity the poor gurrier" doesn't cut it with me. I grew up on a council estate on the south side of Limerick in the impoverished 1970s and 80s. I knew right from wrong, I knew hard work and further education was the way to advance myself. I didn't blame others.

The continuing neglect of the deprivation in Dublin inner city seems to be a factor - among other factors - of the driving force in yesterday’s Dublin riots

Dear British media, you know the way you often describe Irish people as British? Well we have no problem whatsoever if you do that with this silly woman. If fact we insist.

Let's call this exactly what it is; sexualization and exploitation of young children. This is 21st century child abuse.

Welcome to the worst run nanny-state in the World, where you can't get a hospital bed, people in severe pain are on waiting lists for months and sometimes years and meanwhile the minister in charge is focused on putting labels on alcohol products.

Ireland is to become the first country in the world to introduce comprehensive health warning labels on alcohol products. I’ve signed the regulations so that from May 2026 labels must contain details of calorie content, grams of alcohol and risks of liver disease and cancer.

This will only be "the new normal" if we do nothing. Here are 5 things we can do right now to stop it. 1 Deport everyone whose asylum claim failed 2 Set up a safe country list where we automatically reject applications 3 No documentation, no entry 4 Implement tge Dublin protocol

I'm sorry, this is nonsense. If you put a "durable relationship" (which only the courts can define but a judge thinks could be as basic as getting a joint Christmas card) on the same footing as marriage, then of course you are undermining marriage. At least be honest. #voteNoNo

A “Yes” vote to the Family Amendment on March 8th will not undermine the institution of marriage. The Constitution would continue to recognise marriage as an institution that the State must guard and protect. #8MarRef | #VoteYesYes @fiannafailparty @OgraFiannaFail

We closed two power stations because they used turf, failed to invest in nuclear and brought in data storage centres consuming massive amounts of energy. Power prices are shooting up because of carbon taxes. You simply cannot trust the Greens with power.

#ep24 #ee24 1/6 I have monitored the betting odds for the European elections since April and it's time for my final update, on the eve of voting. As usual in elections there have been some dramatic late changes. A reminder of the constituencies that will elect our 14 MEPs.

There is a gap in the Irish political market for a party that commit to Do away with scores of NGOs. Put the squeezed middle first. Scale back all the climate change stuff. Challenge identity politics. Protect our lower Corporation Tax. Not allow NIMBYs to stop homes being built.

Can we please stop this nonsense. Since the foundation of the state over a century ago the number of Irish immigrants who went abroad seeking refuge (let alone after destroying their documentation) is miniscule. We went where they wanted immigrants and could accommodate them.

Shame on every single one of these protesters. They have very short memories - so many of their (near) kin were forced to leave Ireland to seek a better life in other jurisdictions.
