Starting our #NHScomms career! 💻🤗 Going back to work after my Dad passed away has been really tricky. Each day has ups and downs but it’s made such a difference working with some lovely people who have shown such kindness and been so open to talking about bereavement at work 🤍

When he passed away that evening, I felt like I had part of him with me. Such a thoughtful initiative that brings comfort to both patients and relatives at a really hard time. We have the blanket with us now too and it will always remind me of my Dad 🥺🤍.

Thank you to the Colchester Blanketeers @SarahBlanketeer for the handmade blanket on my Dad’s hospital bed @ESNEFT last week 🤍. The blanket brought him great comfort on the ward, and I could take this part that was tying the blanket together home with me.
