The wiser you become, the less you argue, because you begin to see that people defend identity, not truth. Silence replaces correction, not out of arrogance, but because explanation no longer feels worth it.

I partially agree with Nithin Kamath's views on doing an MBA. But I also think that MBAs from IIMs will always be of value, since employers want an institution of repute to certify the credentials of a person. It accords legitimacy in the job market.

In foreign policy, there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies. There are only permanent interests.
India's foreign policy manoeuvring is imperative in the prevailing scenario. With a belligerent Trump running the US, we cannot let our economic interests get sabotaged. If that means we have to, for the sake of optics, turn to our usual adversaries, so be it.

I hear some people are accusing India of being “recalcitrant“. I say, far better to be recalcitrant, than to be tractable, submissive or acquiescent to injustice.

Donald Trump's hawkish and high handed approach in international politics will carve out a new world order. USA's international heft stemmed from its ability to influence without coercion or imposition of will. That has dramatically changed in the past one year.
