Canberra, you’ve been life changing, eye opening, beautiful and exactly what I needed for the past 14 months. But it’s time this country girl heads home. Home, to where my hearts always been and where my future always was, whatever that looks like.

This is why buybacks are necessary, look at the state of the Darling #Baaka even after all that rain we had - this water is toxic #auspol

Featured on Landline today with my fella talking all things sheep. Mistakenly called Kate Morton, but no complaints here 🙊 https://t.co/G9zv0SWB7z

Pretty good article. @Kate_McBride_1 , your comment is spot on “we can’t stick it out forever” waiting for wool to come good- especially when we have better options.

@Telstra Imagine having to throw all your groceries out with how expensive they are these days😓💲 In a cost of living crisis, not to mention how much more expensive living remote is, many people now have to. & and all because @Transgrid_AU didn’t bother fixing their broken generator…

Telecommunications are now down across the Far West making this already bad situation worse. Connectivity is bad enough at the best of times out here with @Telstra. This is life threatening; for example as an RFS/ road crash responder I now can’t be contacted.

@ChrisMinnsMP said today “This is not good enough … there should have been a redundancy in place”. Energy companies have some serious questions to answer, like why our back up generators been broken all year… Thanks to the RFS for their quick response though!

35° in Broken Hill today and people in this area have no power. The area has 2 generators, one has been ‘out of action since December 2023’ the other broke down last night. No phone range in many areas & an old population is putting lives at risk. People are rightly frustrated!

Peter Dutton questioned how he can claim the “the vast majority of the public in Collie” support Nuclear after he avoided the public during his visit. Peter Dutton accuses ABC journalist of being an “advocate” & attacks the ABC. Great fight back by journo, Dutton smashed💥

High levels of dangerous chemicals that are banned from use in EU have been found in the Namoi & Barwon Rivers, downstream of massive cotton growing areas. Yet no part of the NSW Gov is taking responsibility for monitoring the safety of river water! https://t.co/9YdDLHyr3G

Independent testing finds high levels of unwanted substances in a western NSW river after residents report finding fish covered in sores, but the council says the treated water is safe to drink.

I want Sussan Ley to know that acting as Peter Duttons mouth piece will not win votes in her own electorate. Health, education and services are getting worse under decades of coalition representation. It’s time for a new voice in Farrer 💪🏼 one that will fight for us.

State of Emergency, that’s a country taking an environmental disaster seriously. Instead our coalition governments called it ‘natural’ when millions of fish perished.

Greece has declared a state of emergency after hundreds of thousands of dead fish washed into the port of Volos in a mass die-off being blamed on last year's floods and extreme weather fluctuations.

Gina Rinehart is no friend to farmers, everything she does is for personal gain, not you or our industry. ❌👩🏽‍🌾 Rinehart wants to “drill baby drill” because land is just an investment for her. She is not a custodian of our land.

“Drill baby drill” at the #bushsummit while prime farm land and Aboriginal sites are being destroyed. This is not the #bush that I know or am a part of. Rural Aussies are better than this and should know better.

Twice already this morning we’ve had the simplistic argument at the #bushsummit that we have a “gas shortage” so we should “drill baby drill” (actual words spoken). Are we really that dumb to completely ignore how much we send offshore?

@Kate_McBride_1 The people you try to speak to know nothing of how much of their food and fibre could be produced from the same vol water they flush down the sink brushing their teeth. Nor do they understand a septic system that most live on in the bush, or will they possibly ever care. City

You weren’t ‘screaming for collaboration’ when Menindee was dying or our rivers bone dry ❌ If fact, you couldn’t give a stuff until our fight for equitable water sharing gained momentum. City or country, I’ll work with anyone and everyone to fix our rivers & communities.

@Kate_McBride_1 Answers will come when we work together. Keep pushing a divide to the uninitiated city folk then there’s no way forward collectively for regional nsw who are screaming for collaboration to keep communities alive. That means more than “just add water”.
