I’ve worked with Naomi & Michael for almost 15years & she’s had to put up with an awful lot, but there’s been a noticeable change in how she’s treated online & in the chamber. Disagreement is one thing, but pile ons are another - & they have consequences. They don’t deserve this.
Over the last 25 years I've been in front-line politics, I've engaged with people from all backgrounds and perspectives. I've been open to debating and discussing issues, whether we agreed or not, including on here. Turning up as a mob, some in masks, at my home just isn't on. >

The response to my flotilla video 🤯 I’m not apologising for speaking out against a genocide, though delighted by new found concerns for people in Nigeria etc. maybe there’ll be more compassion for asylum seekers. The idea that one video is the sum of all my work is just nuts.

When I had my daughter, I didn’t have maternity leave so she came with me everywhere from just 2 weeks old. I make no apology for that. Because we now have maternity leave, I want other women with young families to see that they can also have a place in political life.

Just cancelled my proxy vote - officially my last day of mat leave & back to Stormont on Monday! So many mixed emotions- but compared to last time (going back to work 2 weeks postpartum 😭) I’m so grateful & so aware we need to make flexible working & parental leave easier 👶

The attack on the Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur is just horrific. Targeting people at worship is an assault on freedom of religion & on our shared values. I stand in solidarity with the Jewish community & condemn all forms of antisemitism & hate 💔
