@C4Dispatches @lewis_goodall Really shocked that with all the abhorrent issues in the world, Dispatches decides to go after one of the best PMs we’ve had in years, someone who has morals & integrity. You’re telling me Boris Johnson was better? Dispatches I’ve respected previously. I won’t watch another one.

Superb programme @BBCNewsnight @vicderbyshire thank you for offering such a sensitive platform for the Epstein victims. Many women watching will have recognised their own experiences. Different but often no less traumatic.

When Charles de Gaulle led France, he treated public money as something untouchable. At the Élysée Palace, there was a strict rule for him: no personal expense could ever be paid for by the state. His wife, Yvonne, kept a small notebook in which she meticulously recorded all

🧵 THREAD: How Britain gave away the North Sea In 1970s Britain 🇬🇧 discovered one of largest oil windfalls in modern history. Harold Wilson initially saw it for what it was, a once-in-a-generation chance to build national wealth. The idea was simple: Use North Sea oil to

Britain has paid Norway over £100 billion for gas since 2021. For gas they’re drilling in the North Sea, the same sea Ed Miliband has banned new drilling in on the British side. Madness.

@LibVoice4Women @whjm Her last sentence on WH was brilliant: ‘If you do a programme like [@BBCWomansHour] you have to consistently remind yourself that women are a vast range. There are many different stereotypes that fit our gender, so there's no one stereotypical woman’ … ‘but our sex we share.'

Dame Jenni Murray - one of my women heroes. Great #broadcaster A true #feminist. The BBC should have listened to her because she knew what a woman is and so many people didn't/don't.

Devastatingly sad that the brilliant broadcaster and journalist Jenni Murray has died aged 75. I have met her several times recently and was so impressed with her staunch feminism, great writing, wit, and empathy. RIP Jenni. You were a treasure and will be much missed.

🚨 WOW. The Iranian Islamic regime just publicly hanged 19-year-old champion wrestler Saleh Mohammadi as part of the crackdown on protests "His execution was a blatant political m*rder." Iranians who rise up are on the right side. Rest in peace 🙏🏻 https://t.co/8iHGQMPtUr

This should have been on the front page of The New York Times. I speak to students in America and most have no idea that more than 30,000 Iranians were killed for protesting and demanding freedom. No names. No faces. No coverage. This silence kills me.💔 Thank you, Australia.
