It was a great pleasure to interview @DPCIreland Des Hogan and Dale Sunderland in Brussels at the @the_iapp #DPC24. It was an honest, open and insightful session with the commissioners. Lots to discuss - DPC strategic focus, resourcing & recent regulatory enforcement.

An icon for me & my mum. I’m so lucky to have had the chance to express my gratitude to Nell when I bumped into her in Ranelagh a few years ago. She wasn’t having any of it & responded with her trademark sarcasm and wit- “you’re just surprised I’m still here”. Goodnight Sister.

Just deleting a period-tracking app is “bad advice because, simply, this is not the data that is being used in these prosecutions right now,” EFF’s @evacide told @USAToday. Worry more about Facebook messenger chats, Google searches, & location data. https://t.co/LFHUosm5Rd

Advocates warn messages, search history, location data and even period trackers can be too easily accessed by police, anti-abortion groups and others.

I am absolutely fan-girling over Anna Funder. Stunning synopsis of her books Staziland & Wifedom and surveillance in a digital era. She speaks so eloquently & with a remarkably droll sense of humour. I would love to see her on a panel with @JCE_IC - it would be a sold out event!
The closing general session at #DPI24 begins in one hour! The Viscount Camrose (@SciTechgovuk) will kick us off followed by author Anna Funder and @LordChrisHolmes. Follow along with the agenda: https://t.co/wIffiK8vO8
