For those new: the benchmark is a downloadable file of a portion of the new expansion. It's suppose to test how well your PC can run the game. It'll also come with a character creator that'll let you mess around with the new options, meaning female Hrothgar will be available.

Technically, Alexander does not rise from The Ruling Quarter until you unlock the first part of the raid.. The devs accounted for players who unlocked flying in the area and wanted to explore without needing to change the geometry for this, so this rock formation exists

Simply put: don't treat FFXIV like another run-of-the-mill MMO where you're trying to race to endgame. This is a Final Fantasy game first and an MMO second. The appeal is the journey, not the destination.

Hate to burst yer bubble, but there were plenty incomplete games back in the day, except you didn't have the modern convenience of patch updates to either "finish" the game or fix bugs. Back then, getting the complete version was you buying the same game at full price.

The post kinda skims over the fact that the "excellent character design" are from primarily kid shows promoting a product and it's only two franchises: Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade, and Beyblade didn't even have these kinds of hairstyles until some years ago with the Burst series
