IT MUST STOP! We mourn the tragic and horrific murder of Ugandan Olympic marathoner Rebecca Cheptegei. We watched her run in Paris, and now this mother of two was murdered by her ex-boyfriend who poured gasoline on her and set her on fire.

I believe we as humans have a moral obligation to give all people an opportunity to try. The United States cannot afford to lose out on talent. Our complex problems can only be tackled if a diverse range of voices have a seat at the table. #TeamKamala. 6/6.

Women gained acceptance in the Boston Marathon thanks to a form of DEI when they created a women's section for only eight of us. That was in 1972, the same year Title IX --the equality of education act that also included sports opportunities--was signed into law. 3/6.
