Is it imposter syndrome or is it white supremacy? Is it imposter syndrome or is it misogyny? Shifting the locus of blame from myself to the structure has put lots into perspective for me.

Red, white, and pink day at the office! In our hybrid work environment, we may not see our colleagues every day, but today we succeeded in bringing everyone together, in coordinated outfits. #teamcapri

After 2 years in the making, happy to have finally gotten my professional headshots taken by one of my favourite Jamaican photographers, @JikReuben 🤗
I’ve contemplated creating a series of packages geared towards environmental professional headshots . So when @KSChristy1 requested her portraits be taken outdoors, I was very ecstatic to take on the task, that plus we’ve been meaning to do this session for almost 2 years lol

Last night, the @UMich Regents called our demand for a modest living wage of $38k "unrealistic". The estimated combined fortunes of only two of them would be enough to fund a living wage for more than 278 years. They could fund it for 218 years and still be billionaires.

We've heard that @UMich & @UMichPrezOno have withheld pay from striking grad workers. It's shameful that an institution as wealthy as UM would take pay from hardworking people. We're on strike b/c many of us struggle to make ends meet each month, this only makes things worse.

No graduate student worker should be living in poverty while the University of Michigan sits atop a $17 billion endowment. These 2,500 workers deserve safe working conditions and living wages. The University must bargain a fair contract immediately.
Striking grads are rallying outside the @UMichgradschool. Rackham needs to pay grads a living wage, not just line the pockets of fat cat admin! You don't mess with GEO!

A jury has convicted Tory Lanez of all three charges for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. A crazy and downright scary scene in the courtroom as his father and stepmother screamed about wicks injustice.

My heart is happy!! I been thinking about sociology’s obsession with measuring, quantifying, and knowing since grad school. Sociology of Vibe considers unindexed moments, feeling some type of way, and modes of not knowing as important pieces of structural experience. Out soon!

Is there a sociology of infidelity literature? Any recommendations on who to read (both within and outside sociology) to orient myself to how ppl have been thinking about cheating would be greatly appreciated - bonus if their work is in the caribbean! #socAF #AcademicChatter
