Our latest paper, led by @morganjfarley (funded @tourdecure_aus), highlight acute responses of IL-15, IL-10, IL-6, IL-1ra to HIIT prior to, and following, 7-months of exercise (@JPhysiol): https://t.co/DXuz1HBml2. Importantly, lean mass was associated with magnitude of response.

Wonderful to have a 100% attendance demonstrating how great enthusiasm by our staff. One key message - we know greater dosage (no. of reps) relates to greater recovery, and can be considerably increased through self practice and semi-supervised practice with same resource.

Take a look at the positive impact that @CarlyRolOT is already making to the lives of older adults with cancer. Particularly in the outpatient setting, supporting them to live at home, as independently, active and happy as possible 👇

Strength training confers unique health benefits. Engaging in strength-promoting exercise was linked with: - ⬇️ 23% reduction in all-cause mortality - ⬇️ 31% reduction in cancer mortality Meeting both aerobic and muscle strengthening guidelines further reduced mortality risk
