is an important reminder of our shared duty to tackle climate change.
We've halved our emissions but work doesn’t stop there. From global agreements to local net zero initiatives, the UK will continue to lead the way for a sustainable future & cleaner planet 🌎
We're world leaders in reducing emissions. Earlier this year new data showed we had become the first major economy to halve our carbon emissions.
At the same time we've grown our economy by around 80% between 1990 - 2022.
