I'm not a bot. I don't want any followers. May not look it, but I adore Japanese arcade action games, chiefly the STG.

My feed: NG4 haters: "I hate this game. Worst shit I've ever played." NG4 Enjoyers: "You just don't actually know what you like. You actually hate action games because you dont like this one Nostalgia goggles. Haha just like the game bro haha what are you STUPID?"

Turok 1's Fusion Cannon has to be my favorite FPS super weapon. You pull the trigger and the world quakes as the gun STRAINS to fire this slow moving, supermassive projectile. Final boss wants no part of it either. You try to fire it and he casts a spell forcing a weapon swap.đ

RefRain -prism memories- would have been a formative experience if I played it when I was 12. The game is fantastic and the styling is exactly the kind of DEEP nostalgia I look for. https://t.co/8nxiXnBPrh?

This among the most perfect things in Zelda. Fantastic fight and design.

I think I'm just gonna pass on NG4. Think I've seen enough about it to tell I won't care.

The fucked up part about this game is that it's a really good gameplay idea with very impressive live 2D and prerendered spriting. Wasted on rancid gacha filth.

A few of us at Bungie had an unspoken rule about Halo cinematics: Never make the player in the cinematic feel more "badass" than the actual game. We don't want players thinking "I wish that's how the game actually felt". Cinematics should serve the gameplay, not compete w it.
Halo 5 is Officially 10 years old. The Opening Cinematic still sticks with me. What a cool showing of what Spartans can do. From XboxSeriesX

Weak minds can only conceive of video games as art when its a single player action game

"For whatever reason" Because they've been a standard in Japanese 3D action for decades, you slovenly chode.
This is a review for Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment that was published today. Call me biased (I am), but this type of attitude should have been left in 2005. Reviews are always going to be subjective, but this is just unprofessional.

But if I said RayForce tells a beautiful, seamless story about a woman's silent adventure to the center of the world and how that is framed through it's mechanics as an STG, that's not valid because it's a dirty little arcade game with less production value than TLOU.

And even with story, right... It has to be story in the "correct" context to be seen as artistically "viable". Cutscenes, verbose dialogue. Walking/talking. Extreme graphics and lore dumps. Progression...etc

You're allowed to talk about "the tragic lore of Kirby" and the artistry of subtext. But when you talk about Smash's hold buffer and priority queue fucking up the game's precision consistency, it's in one ear and out the other. You're then told you take gaming too seriously.

I went at length about this before in a group chat and it was totally dismissed. This tweet is a little vindicating.
@lazyjusten Thats what I mean. People donât view stuff like mechanics/gameplay as artistic. If you are discussing balance and what would be best for the meta you are discussing art. We just havenât been conditioned to view those things as âartisticâ
